A 53-year-old woman is now narrating to the police how she came about laminated electoral materials she was found with in Lagos.
Dependable sources hinted that the woman (names withheld) was found with the materials numbering about 550 copies at a business on Thursday at Candos Road, Baruwa in Iyana-Ipaja area of Lagos where she had gone to print the document from her laptop, and was making photocopies when she was intercepted.
The Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, a superintendent of police, SP, confirmed this to the media on Friday.
Hundeyin said the suspect was arrested on Thursday at about 4.00 p.m. at Candos Road, Baruwa in Iyana-Ipaja area of Lagos.
He said the suspect was arrested inside a business centre where she was making the photocopies.
“She was arrested with 550 different INEC materials.
“The laptop she used in printing the materials has been recovered and she couldn’t give a good account of how she came in possession of the materials.
“The case has been transferred to State CID Yaba for further investigation,” he said.
