The Executive Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has said nobody can stop him from contesting 2023 presidential election.
Also, he declared that no amount of money that anybody can bring that can sway the major opposition political party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Wike, who disclosed this in a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP stakeholders confab, via live telecast on a private owned television station, Africa Independent Television, AIT, said he had to buy everything afresh when he got to Rivers State Government House.
He told the stakeholders that “we must give 100 percent to the party to capture and whether you like it or not, I am not a liability to the party. I am an asset to the party”.
The Rivers Governor did not spare his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi, as he claimed “he emptied Rivers State Government House including door bell”.
“They left with everything and nothing was left behind, and I had to replace them all.
“As we speak now, I am renovating the place for somebody to occupy in May next year”.
The Rivers State Governor condemned Media Business Mogul, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, for going above his threshold for zoning the presidential slot.
He said, ”I have not seen that kind of politics before, doing the job of the party by zoning position”.
