First Bank Basketball team this evening clinched the first ticket for the final of the Mark D Ball Championships, which holds Saturday at the Indoor Hall of Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Package B, Abuja.

The bankers that have been in the forefront in the female basketball in Nigeria, would slug it out with the winner between the Nigeria Customs and Sunshine Angels of Akure in the second semifinal.

Already, the Customs team being handled by Scott Nnaji, has been tipped to out-dunk the Akure outfit that made the first basket in the game. The Nigeria Customs has just score two points to bring the scoreline 2-2 within two minutes of play.

Coach Nnaji has before the game, was hopeful to grab the second semifinal ticket to feature in the final on Saturday.

His team that shot up 7-2 with about five minutes to spare in the first quarter, is having the Sunshine Angels a hot contender, as the scoreline is currently 13-13 following three three-points scored in quick succession by the Akure outfit that has shot into the lead 15-13.

Undoubtedly, the second semifinal game between the Nigeria Customs and Sunshine Angels of Akure is more exciting and entertaining compared to the first match.
