Mo Heat Basketball team has emerged Group A Champions of the Mark D Ball Basketball Men’s Championship decided at the Indoor Hall, Package B of Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja.
The champions was a delight in all seven group games without dropping any match, and chalked up 14 points to occupy the top position. It’s superiority was evident in the game against APA Flames the latter bowed 77-126.
Gombe Bulls technically finished in the second position with 12 points; the same points won HotCoal Ballers that was placed in the third position. Their goals difference separated them in the round robin tournament.
While Gombe Bulls finished in +66, HotCoal Ballers made +61.
On the whole, eight clubs participated in the group A, and another eight clubs are expected to slam and dunk in group B scheduled to commence next week.
The Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF President, Igoche Mark, in his remarks, assured of Mark D Ball Basketball Championship continuous league as his contribution to the development of the game.
“The dull moment should be over, as the Mark D Ball Basketball Championship would be a continuous event in the NBBF programme of activities. You players would enjoy almost same number of tournaments played in the NBA.
