Sunshine Angels this evening outplayed Hotcoal Slizzers 28-20 in the opening of the Mark D Ball Basketball Championship at the Indoor Hall of Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
The Akure ladies were more enterprising as they dominated the game from the blast of the whistle.
Both teams however entertained the near capacity basketball enthusiasts at the Indoor Hall, and the artists invited added flavours to make the time spent at the Indoor Hall on Saturday worthwhile.
On the whole, 16 teams including Air Warrior, Firstbank, Delta Force, Sunshine Angels, Customs, Novena Queens, Kada Angels, Benue Princess and Plateau Rocks are dunking in the championship.
Others are Mountain of Fire, FCT Rocks, IGP Queens, Taraba Hurricanes, Nasarawa Amazons, Hot Coal Sizzlers and Bayelsa Queens.
