The husband to the murdered FCT Corps member, Terungwa Edward Achado is now telling the Federal Capital Territory Police Command his alleged involvement in the killing of his wife, Stephanie Se-ember Terungwa.
The National Youth Service Corps issued a statement Wednesday night on the murdered service member, Stephanie Se-Ember Terungwa Achado.
The statement by its Director Press and public relations, Eddy Megwa gave a chilling account of how Stephanie’s body was found dressed in NYSC Khaki trousers.
Reports have it that the body was discovered in Maitama, Abuja, following social media posts.
Stephanie was serving in Abuja and was last seen in Logogoma on 14 April.
Her body was found kitted in NYSC uniform, about two weeks after she disappeared in the Lokogoma area of the Territory.
The incident triggered reactions from concerned Nigerians and fear amongst corps members serving in the FCT.
A police source told newsmen on Tuesday that following the ongoing investigation to unravel the cause of the corps member’s death, the husband, Terungwa Edward Achado and others are currently in police custody.
According to the source, the husband and two others who last called the phone number of the victim were arrested on Saturday.
The police source disclosed that the suspects are with the homicide section of FCT Police Command as investigations continue.
When newsmen contacted the FCT Police Command, the Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP Josephine Adeh simply said “Investigation is ongoing”.
“The command has assembled the best hands to unravel the mystery behind the death of the corps member”, she stated when pressed to reveal further information about the other suspects.
