The quest for free tickets to football enthusiasts to cheer the Super Eagles to victory against Ghana in the Qatar 2022 World Cup Qualifiers, is beginning to yield fruitful results, as the former Governor of Abia state and Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Orji Uzor Kalu, has offered 5,000 tickets for distribution to fans on Tuesday, March 29 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abiola.
Page3news.com.ng reports that Senator Kalu purchased the tickets Sunday, and would be distributed Tuesday at the match venue.
According to Kalu via his Facebook page, the gesture was through his Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation.
The tickets will be shared at the entrance to the match venue by 3pm.
“As an African Pillar of Sports, I look forward to the Eagles putting smiles on our faces by winning the match,” he said.
Sixty thousand fans will be allowed into the Stadium to watch the second leg of the 2022 World Cup Qualifier between the Super Eagles and Black Stars of Ghana.
Both teams played goalless last Friday in Ghana.
