Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi representing Delta North Senatorial District at the National Assembly, has assured the people of Umunede kingdom that the metropolitan Community would get more developmental attention from his office as budgetary resources improve.

This promise was made at the End of Year Award ceremony organised by the Abuja branch of Umunede Progressive Union, UPU held Saturday, November 27 in Abuja.

He was the special guest at the event, but was represented by his Legislative aide, Philip Elueme.

Senator Nwaoboshi, who is the Chairman, Senate Committee On Niger Delta Affairs, expressed his sincere appreciation to the people of Umunede and the entire Ika Nation for their support, since his assumption of office.

He reiterated the commitment of his office in making sure that the entire people of Delta North Senatorial District are served rightly and timely with the best legislative and substantive menu on the list of programmes, policies and projects.

Senator Nwaoboshi also used the opportunity to inform the congregation that the take-off of an emergency road project linking the entire Kingdom Road and Obeh Street in Umunede, will soon commence.

He maintained that the importance of an ancient and strategically located town like Umunede, cannot be overemphasized and that the need to bring-in more Senatorial dividends to the community and the entire Ika land must be encouraged in all ramifications.

“We shall continue to do our best to see that our people in Ika land and Delta North in general are never left behind in the roll call of developmental beneficiaries,” Senator Peter Olukachukwu Nwaoboshi said.
