The determined South African players confirmed that the game would be tough, and insisted that the first leg being away in Abuja, would be in their favour.
“Both of us missed the last Olympics and this game is going to be very tough. We’re ready because we know how important it is. It’s like an away league for us and as we’re starting with an away league, it’s going be an advantage for us. We’ll give our all to make sure we win. This is our chance as it’ll take another four years for either of us to be in the Olympics. “We will give our all to make sure we win convincingly on Friday to make the return leg in South Africa an easy game for us,” said Nonhlanhla Mthandi.
She stated that the Super Falcons would be under pressure to revenge the defeat suffered during their previous encounter and as well win to be at an advantage for the second leg in South Africa.
