Defence Headquarters on Thursday insisted that the Nigerian Armed Forces should not give any breathing space for the terrorists in the symmetric warfare with the insurgents across the country.
Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba, was deadpan when he said ‘No gree for terrorists’ during media briefing to confirm the unwavering commitment of the Nigerian Armed Forces in the ongoing counter-terrorism efforts in the new year 2024.
The stern looking General Buba said, “Our aim is to find and destroy the terrorists wherever they may be hiding, ensuring their enduring defeat and denying them the ability to terrorise or harm citizens across the country.
“No gree for terrorists,’ until the victory in the counter-terrorism war is secured.
“In the past week, our troops focused on striking terrorist enclaves through air attacks and exerted significant military power on areas where the terrorists were hibernating.”
According to the General, the military operations yielded substantial results, with 86 terrorists neutralised, and 101 arrested.
